Industry sources say that it is almost certain that a red card will be issued against Nayanthara by the Producers Council, for not paying back Lingusamy’s advance. Red card is equivalent to being banned by the cine industry.
Actress Nayanthara was signed by Lingusamy to pair with Karthi in his new movie titled Paiyya, by paying an advance of Rs.15 lakhs. But Karthi was not able start Paiyya at the scheduled date since the shooting of his ongoing Selva Raghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan movie was not yet completed. Nayanthara has also given dates according to the initial schedule. Later Lingusamy also want Nayanthara to reduce the salary due to economic crisis, but Nayanthara didn’t accept it and she opted out of the movie and she was replaced my Tamanna.
As Nayanthara opted out of the movie, Lingusamy want the advance back, but its seems Nayanthara refused to return the Rs 15 lakhs she took as advance stating that, she lost three months of her precious dates, waiting for Paiyya to start. Now she is demanding that she has to be compensated for her losses if she has to pay back the advance amount.
